The layout and organization of the environments were updated to meet the contemporary needs of the home, such as integration of spaces and greater ventilation and clarity. By removing the walls that previously delimited the service areas, the large social environment gained a view of the city to both sides of the building, since the ribbon windows - characteristic of this phase of modernism - flooded the apartment with natural light, mainly in the gourmet area, previously without openings. The central volume was covered with a wood panel, reinforcing the wood tone of the floor. This panel was important, as it increased the useful space of the pre-existing bathroom, while mimicking its openings. The wood of the panel and floor dictated the atmosphere of the choice of loose furniture, in general more sober, with only a point of color in a striking and unusual element of the composition – the sofa.
